NEW DELHI: Days after the Mumbai Mantralaya fire, another fire broke out at the home ministry in North Block here on Sunday afternoon.
The fire, which was reported from the second floor of the North Block, was brought under control soon.
Home secretary RK Singh, who reached the spot on hearing about the fire, said that the fire was limited to the ventilator shaft of one room and there was absolutely no damage to any files.

AK Sharma, director, fire services, confirmed to Times Now that the fire had been brought under control.
He said that an alert about the fire was given to them at around 2.20pm.
Sharma said the fire was limited to one room on the second floor of the building.
Several fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage is still not known.
The North Block houses several key ministries.
