Senior actor Krishna Nadig passed away on Saturday night due to a heart attack. He was 65. Krishna had acted both in films and TV serials in his career, spanning more than 50 years.
According to reports, the actor was shooting for the Kannada serial ‘Lagna Patrike’ when he complained of chest paint. He was later rushed to a hospital, but he failed to respond to the medical treatment.

Apart from acting in films like ‘Pailwaan’ and ‘Adi Lakshmi Purana’, Krishna has also acted in serials like ‘Paaru’, ‘Devi’, ‘Evalu Sujatha’ and ‘Milana’. He has also written dialogues for over 50 films.
The last rites will be held at a crematorium in Chamarajpet later in the day. Members of Kannada film and television industries have expressed shock over the sudden demise of the actor. On a social media post, veteran director TN Seetharam said that his death has created a huge void in the industry. Meanwhile, television director and producer Raghu Charan Tiptur has penned an emotional note, remembering the late actor. His post reads (translated from Kannada): “Krishna was the permanent actor in all my projects. He wanted me to achieve want he did not achieve in his life. He always blessed me to reach greater heights. In this Navaratri, I thought of inviting him to my home to introduce to my mother, but he has left us too soon (sic).”
