KOLKATA: The first e-Health centre will be inaugurated at New Town on coming Wednesday. The project which is a CSR project of Narayana Health (NH) is being set up by NH-CISCO in a joint effort. Officers from CISCO and NH recently met Hidco chairman cum managing director Debashis Sen. Dr Devi Prasad Shetty of NH and CISCO SVP for Asia Pacific region, Gopal Ratnam would inaugurate the hub at Bangalore simultaneously.
This would be a multi-site conference and would link all peripheral sites including Rajarhat, Bellary and Sirsi, both in Karnataka to the hub in Bangalore.
Earlier NH had taken on rent a space at the Utility Building in Action Area II near Akankha building in New Town where the post office, NKDA Office and the Group D Board office are also located. Hidco assisted in the project by making the site ready with electrical non-medical equipment, furnitures and broadband connectivity. Three other e-health centers are also presently on trial in New Town and to be run by NKDA very soon.
