Left veteran Kshiti Goswami passes away
Kolkata: Revolutionary Socialist Party general secretary and former Bengal minister Kshiti Goswami died at a private hospital in Chennai on Sunday due to age-related illness. He was 77 and is survived by his wife and daughters.
The body will be handed over to NRS Medical College and Hospital authorities on Tuesday as Goswami had wanted it donated.
As leader of Left Front constituent RSP, Goswami was PWD minister for more than two decades.

Chief minister Mamata Banerjee condoled his death. “I am deeply shocked and grieved by the sudden demise of Kshiti Goswami... This is an immense loss to Indian politics,” she said in a statement.
Front chairperson Biman Bose said: “This is a loss to Left and democratic forces in the state.”
Lok Sabha Congress leader Adhir Chowdhury said: “He was an honest leader and will be deeply missed.”
