Vijayawada: Three of a family end life, blame daughter-in-law

VIJAYAWADA: Three from a family committed suicide by consuming pesticide in Ayodhyapatnam area under Kaikalur town police station limits in Krishna district on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Vellagala Balram Krishna Reddy (60), his wife Subbulakshmi (55) and their son Gangadhar Reddy (25).
The incident took place around 2pm in the afternoon where all the three deceased consumed the same pesticide.Upon receiving information from locals and the daughter-in-law, cops reached the spot and examined the scene. Cops found a suicide note claiming that they took the extreme step as they could not bear the ‘torture’ from Gangadhar’s wife.
Cops explained that Gangadhar Reddy, a supervisor at a private company in Singapore got married an year ago. However, quarrels were a regular thing and Gangadhar’s wife had threatened to lodge harassment cases against her in-laws.
A case under 174 of CrPC was registered by cops.
