DJ lands up in fresh controversy
Duvvada Jagannadham’s director Harish Shankar reaches out to protestors
Allu Arjun’s upcoming flick ‘Duvvada Jagannadham’ had stirred controversies even before its release. From the beginning itself, the ill-fated project starring Pooja Hegde came under fire for hurting the sentiments of Brahmins.
The protesters were of the view that it shows the community in a negative manner. Now, they are up in arms over the Gudilo Badilo song, saying that it makes fun Rudra Strotram.
Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao, President of the All India Brahmin Federation was quoted as saying, “These days, filmmakers are showing the Brahmin community in a very negative and poor light.
In DJ, they have taken the words from Lord Shiva’s recital 'Namakam Chamakam', and made a pun on it. We will not tolerate this.”
Meanwhile, its director Harish Shankar met the protesters and reportedly agreed to cut those lines from the song. Let’s hope that, the makers will soon sort of the issue and release the flick without much delay.
