Minor raped by neighbour in Dundahera

GURGAON: In yet another shocking incident of rape in the state, a two-and-half-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by her 25-year-old neighbour in Dundahera village on Tuesday. Police have registered a case against the accused, missing at present, and launched a manhunt to nab him.
The accused, who has been identified as Dalbir and belongs to Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh, was the minor girl's next door neighbour and lured her to his house while she was playing outside and her mother busy with household chores.The victim's father is a private security guard.
According to the police, the accused sexually assaulted the minor girl but fled when she started crying aloud. "I don't know how my daughter reached Dalbir's room. I raised an alarm after I saw her coming out of his room crying and her clothes stained with blood oozing out of her private parts. I called my landlord and along with other neighbours reached Dalbir's room but he was nowhere to be found. Then we informed police," said the victim's mother.
A team from Farishtay, an NGO, reached the spot after being informed by the neighbours. "Her neighbours informed us about the incident and we called the police who took the girl for medical examination to the Civil Hospital," said Anju Negi, secretary of NGO Farishtay.
An FIR has been lodged against him under sections 376 and 511 of the IPC. Dalbir was victim's next door neighbour and allegedly lured her to his room while she was playing outside.
After the medical examination confirmed rape, the Udyog Vihar police registered a case against the accused. "We have conducted raids and are looking for Dalbir," said assistant sub inspector Moolchand, the investigatng officer.
"We have constituted four search teams headed by ACP Poonam Dalal to nab the accused. In the preliminary investigation, it has been found that the accused is educated but was unemployed for the past few months. The accused earlier used to work with a Gurgaon-based company and shared a room on rent with his friend in Dundahera village. The minor's family hails from Odisha. The accused will be arrested soon," Surinder Pal Singh, DCP (West) told TOI.
