City police commissioner Satish Sharma said, “Police were asked by vice-chancellor to not allow anyone except students to enter the university campus. Hence, the police strictly enforced the instructions.”
“I did not ask the police to prevent everyone from entering the university campus. I just asked them to ensure that the situation remained under control. They might have taken the steps which they found necessary for ensuring peace,” said VNSGU VC Shivendra Gupta.
