BHOPAL: A tigress, coded T-14, believed to be around 15-year-old, was found dead inside Kanha National Park in Mandla district on Tuesday.
Officials informed that the tigress died a natural death. The body of the tigress was found by a patrolling team in the Parsa Tola region of the reserve.
Reserve forest officials examined the carcass and determined that the tigress had died from the effects of aging.
No visible signs of injury were found on the tigress, and there were no indications of a skirmish with other animals in the vicinity, affirmed the official. Autopsy was conducted as per guidelines of National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA).
