Five picnic spots developed in New Town

KOLKATA: The New Town Kolkata Development Authority has come up with five picnic spots in the township for visitors to throng this coming winter.
Three picnic spots have been set up near Upasanasthal, on the bank of a water-way. The places have green lawns and lots of greenery, Pay and Use toilets, along with kitchen and dining sheds. The area is close to Tata Medical Centre.
Two other picnic spots have been developed at the Eco urban village that has kitchen and dining sheds and a huge water body where boating is also available on request.Angling is permitted on purchase of ticket. There are newly opened four day cottages and car parking space for visitors. There is also pay and use toilet facilities in the area and also a beautiful central akhra for spending quality leisure time with friends and family.
