Infighting in Chautala family ends in split

CHANDIGARH/JIND: Infighting within the political family of the Chautalas of Haryana finally ended in a split on Saturday. The break-up happened with Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) patriarch OP Chautala 's elder son Ajay announcing his decision to form a separate political outfit.
He made this announcement while addressing a mammoth gathering in Jind. About a month ago, the Chautala family feud had spilled out into the open.Ajay said he was handing over the INLD and its symbol to his younger brother Abhay, opposition leader in the assembly.
Ajay said his new party, its symbol and flag would be announced at a rally at Jind on December 9.
Ajay added now there would be a fight for survival for which Abhay would be responsible.
Dushyant said that his conscience would not allow him to return to the party that had expelled him, but he would continue to follow his grandfather OP Chautala's ideals. Reacting to the development, Abhay, who has his father's support, claimed in Chandigarh that there were chances his brother and his supporters would join a political party soon as it's not easy to form a political outfit and survive, Abhay said.
