PUNE: The MIT Institute of Design, in association with Lokusdesign, hosted the Behance Portfolio Review event in the city.
The event was aimed at giving budding designers a fresh perspective for their future careers.
Lokusdesign said the event gave design enthusiasts including commercial artists, freelancers, design students, academia and industry experts a chance to collaborate and discuss the current scenario and future of the design industry.
The event also gave opportunity to emerging designers to showcase their portfolio in front of leading brand and design experts from the industry.
For the main event, the top 15 portfolios were showcased and they were judged by three parameters including branding and graphics, packaging design and retail and space design. Ruta Jeminis, Rahul Sharma and Sachit Gupta were awarded for their exceptional portfolio while Gupta was given best project award.
Speaking on the initiative, Shekhar Badve, founder director, Lokusdesign said, "Through this initiative, we wanted to present a platform for young, dynamic design minds an opportunity to collaborate with industry experts, and give them a perspective of the ever changing demands and expectations of design professionals in our industry."
Some of the jury members included Ranjana Dani, head of graphic designing, MIT Institute of Design, Preeti Vyas founder of Vyas Giannetti Creative among others.
