Aston Martin's ever popular car, the DB9, is up for replacement after twelve successful years of presence in the supercar fraternity. The car which replaces it is the all new DB11, which was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. The good news, according to sources, is that the DB11 coupe will make its way to India this October, despite our country's very limited supercar-buyer numbers.
Notably, the DB11 is the debut vehicle of Aston Martin's 'Second Century' plan, which is aimed to expand the company's reach even further.
Moreover, officials from Aston Martin have stated, "(the) DB11 is the most powerful, most efficient and most dynamically gifted DB model in Aston Martin's history."

On the outside, the all-new supercar features many of the signature Aston Martin cues, such as the front grille on the drop-down nose, the clamshell bonnet and a long hood with elegant character lines. Also, the supercar now sports a low-sloping roofline, which ends with a sporty and short tail with prominent rear wheel haunches that complete the aesthetic appeal of the car. The rear of the car features the signature c-shaped LED tail lamps and twin-quad exhaust tips that will sing the song of the V12 engine.

Its interiors are unmistakably Aston Martin and incorporate the classic grand tourer cues of the DB series. The uber-luxurious nature of the cockpit is accentuated by the use of high-quality leather, brushed aluminum and wooden inserts. The symmetric cabin now adorns a 12-inch instrument cluster and an 8-inch infotainment system. The car also features auto-park assist with a 360-degree bird's-eye camera.

As said before, power will come from a twin-turbo V12, which has a capacity of 5.2-litre. The powerhouse is good for 608PS of power and 700Nm of peak torque. What this essentially means is that the DB11 can hit a top speed of 322kmph. In addition to that, it only takes 3.9 seconds to reach the 100kmph mark from standstill. Moreover, it features an advanced 8-speed, ZF automatic gearbox, which sends power to the rear wheels. There are three engine modes to play around with, namely GT, Sport and Sport Plus that according to Aston Martin "progressively intensify the response of the engine."
The car will tour major cities of the country and we are told to expect the price to be in the neighbourhood of Rs 4.5 crore, without including the insurance and registration amount.
