It takes ages for people to make a foothold in the glamour industry but some people are just destined to make it big.
We are talking about the beautiful and petite actress Sumona Chakravarti, who is currently essaying the rich, brat sister of Ram Kapoor in Balaji Telefilms 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain' on Sony TV.

Surprisingly, like other actors Sumona is not going gaga over her big Bollywood debut and says that she grabbed the opportunity given by Anurag dada (Anurag Basu).
Sumona says, “I know a lot is being written about how television actors waste themselves by doing tit-bit roles in movies (laughs). But I would like to say that my role is a cameo and I have known Anurag dada since a long time. So when he offered me the role I couldn’t say no and did the film simply for Anurag dada. I knew the length of my role will be very small but I wanted to work with Anurag Basu.
‘Barfii’ is an upcoming romantic comedy film which stars Bollywood heartthrob
Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana Dcruz in the leads. Sumona will be seen playing the role of Ileana Dcruz’s best friend and she is currently seen in the first theatrical promo of the film.
When quizzed about her experience while working on 'Barfii', Sumona said, "It was my first film and I needed a guidance and trust me dada was always there for me. I believe I am an director's actor and I did whatever he told me to do in the film. 'Barfii', is not a typical Hindi film. The film has more of reactions and reactions can't be scripted. I enjoyed each and every moment of working on the film".
