MANGALORE: With a view to regulating traffic during the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister Advani to Mangalore on Sunday, the traffic police here have made alternate arrangements.

<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">MANGALORE: With a view to regulating traffic during the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani to Mangalore on Sunday, for the Bharat Mata Poojan programme being held as part of the silver jubilee celebrations of Kannada daily <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Hosa Dingantha</span>, the traffic police here have made alternate arrangements.<br /><br />According to the Traffic Department the traffic diversions will come into force from 2 pm on Sunday.
The diversions are as follows: While the movement of vehicles from Badriya Circle to Hamilton Circle had been barred, buses arriving from Udupi would have to drop passengers at Bunts Hostel and proceed towards Mallikatta and vehicles transporting public to Nehru Maidan for the function, would have to go to Balmatta and proceed towards Pandeshwar, via YMCA, Avery Junction, Attavar, KMC, Koti-Chenniah Circle, and Mangaladevi and park near the telecom office.<br /><br />Vehicles arriving from Karkala and Moodbidri and express buses from Udupi would have to drop passengers at Mallikatta and return from there while buses coming from Puttur, Belthangady, and Kodagu district would be allowed to proceed only upto the Kankandy bus stand. <br /><br />Private vehicles and buses arriving from Kasargod, Talapady, and Thokkuttu into the city would be allowed to proceed only upto Kankanady. <br /><br />Also, parking of vehicles would not be allowed on the roads between Balmatta and YMCA and Ladyhill and M G Road and on P M Rao Road, G H S Road, and K S Rao Road. <br /><br />After 2 p m, parking would be banned on the Jyothi-Hampankatta-Clock Tower road, Lady Goshen Circle, and between U P Mallya Road and Hamilton Circle.<br /><br /><formid=367815></formid=367815></div> </div>
