Mithun Chakraborty buys plot adjacent to Madh bungalow for pets

Before he migrated to Ooty in the 90s and spent nearly a decade there, Mithun Chakraborty, now a member of the Rajya Sabha, had two homes in Mumbai. He had a home in Bandra and a bungalow in Madh Island.

Dada, as he is called, always felt the need for a bungalow because besides his three sons, his wife and a daughter; at any given point, he has always had as many as six to 10 dogs.One hears that Mithun, who is currently enoying a very decent second innings in Bollywood, has bought the plot adjacent to his Madh Island bungalow.

Here, he houses his army of dogs and he also has some unusual birds in a shelter. The animals and birds are deeply cared for. They have amenities like airconditioners and gaming zones. And while this four-legged army is usually kept tied up during the day, at night, when the ferocious animals are let loose; Mithun’s haven is one of the safest addresses in town. Tresspassers steer clear for fear of being mauled.
