HYDERABAD:
Abhishek Singh, son of former CCMB director Lalji Singh, on Friday said a legal notice would be served on the ministry of civil aviation and
Indigo Airlines for the death of his father.
Abhishek alleged that
Lalji Singh was not provided an ambulance or oxygen support to rush him to the hospital from the
Varanasi airport where he suffered a heart attack on December 10.
Speaking to TOI, Abhishek said he had evidence that negligence had led to his father’s death and that CCTV footage can corroborate his claim.
“Every airport in India should be equipped with medical facilities for passengers. This is what ultimately I want should happen,” he said. Abhishek said he has already had discussions with his lawyers on proceeding with the legal notice.
“Nothing short of a public apology from the CEO of the airlines and the ministry of civil aviation is acceptable,” he said. Abhishek Singh said all rituals pertaining to his father's death will be performed by December 22 after which he would take the required legal action.
