GURUGRAM: In a shocking incident, a girl was allegedly abducted, drugged and driven around the three districts of Haryana in broad daylight before being gang-raped by a dozen men.
The survivor, who hails from Kosli in Rewari, had recently made national headlines due to her academic achievements in 2016.
She was abducted from Kanina in Mahendragarh on Wednesday by three college students soon after she left home for a coaching class.
The accused drugged her and drove her to fields near Jhajjar border where their accomplices gang-raped her. She was raped by around a dozen men, the victim recalled.
They later dumped the girl, who was still drugged, at the same bus stand in Kanina from where she was abducted at around 4pm. The accused then called her home to inform her parents that their daughter is lying unconscious at the bus stop.

Her family rushed to the hospital where doctors confirmed rape. A zero FIR was registered at a police station in Rewari, which was later sent to Kanina police station.
Shockingly, Kanina police returned the FIR stating that the incident took place outside its jurisdiction. No arrests have been made in the case even as the girl identified the three abductors.
The mother of the girl said her daughter was in a state of shock after the incident and the accused were still "roaming freely".
"The government talks about Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, but is this the price one has to pay for getting our daughters educated? The accused are roaming freely but police has failed to nab them," she told reporters in her village.
