Will start permanent disability centre: CM
Panaji: A motor neuron centre will be established in the state on priority, said chief minister Pramod Sawant assuring to start a permanent disability centre in Goa.
He was speaking at the Ravindra Bhavan, Sanquelim on Thursday during the disbursement of medical equipment to the needy.
Highlighting the diabetes scenario in Goa, Sawant advised people to eat less sugar.
He also appreciated governor P S Sreedharan Pillai for the work taken up by the Raj Bhavan.
Along with Pillai, Sawant distributed financial assistance to 48 dialysis and cancer patients under the Raj Bhavan’s governor fund, and the latest brain-controlled myoelectric hands to needy persons sponsered by the office of the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, through a CSR scheme of the BPCL, an official press release stated.
Speaking on the occasion the governor said that ‘one earth, one family and one future’ will pave the path for global welfare. He informed those gathered about the various initiatives taken up by the Raj Bhavan. tnn
