A woman and her lover committed suicide in a temple in Jaunpur district while a student of class-XII ended his life after consuming poison at his residence in Varanasi after suspension from his school on the complaint of a girl classmate.

Varanasi: A woman and her lover committed suicide in a temple in Jaunpur district while a student of class-XII ended his life after consuming poison at his residence in Varanasi after suspension from his school on the complaint of a girl classmate.
According to reports, some women reached a temple near Mehrava railway station under Sarai Khwaja police station in Jaunpur district on Tuesday morning when they noticed the body of a woman lying on the floor of temple.
Few yards away the body of a youth was also lying under a tree. On seeing it they raised an alarm after which hundreds of villagers gathered there while police also reached.
During initial investigation of police the identity of died youth was ascertained as Rajkumar of Khetasarai while the woman was identified as Barkha of Sarai Khwaja. The cops also recovered poisonous pills from the incident site. It is suspected that Rajkumar had ended his life after poisoning Barkha. Police were investigating the matter after sending the bodies for postmortem.
In Varanasi, Abhishek Pathak alias Sumit (17), a native of Ledhupur under Sarnath police station, also consumed poison to commit suicide at his residence. Reports stated that Abhishek was studying in class-XII in a convent school near his house. The manager of his school informed that Abhishek and three other boys of the same class had been suspended on Monday for a period of one month from the school after a girl gave a written complaint against them alleging that they were harassing her for a month.
After this development Abhishek did not return home and stayed at the place of his friend. On Tuesday morning his family members somehow convinced him to return home. But after returning home he consumed pesticide and died. Police sent the body for postmortem.
Meanwhile, Dinesh Yadav (40), a tube-well operator of Varanasi Development Authority hanged him with the ceiling of his room in Kanshi Ram Garib Awas Yojana under Shivpur police station on Tuesday. According to reports, Dinesh was a liquor addict and he used to quarrel with his wife. On Monday his wife had thrashed him after which he left home and did not return in night. On Tuesday he came back and hanged himself.

Road accident deaths: Two persons including a woman were killed in separate road mishaps while a youth suffered serious injuries in another accident in Varanasi and Azamgarh districts.
According to reports, Pullur Yadav (50), a transporter of Barji village under Phoolpur police station was heading towards regional transport office on his motorcycle. When he was passing through Indian Oil’s LPG bottling plant a speeding tanker ran over him. He died on the spot.
Besides, Vijay Maurya (34), a Mohav native under Cholapur police station was heading towards city area on his motorcycle. When he was passing through Chandapur canal a SUV dashed his motorcycle and later dragged him up to several 100 meters. On seeing it locals and passers by tried to stop the SUV. But when the driver did not stop they started throwing stone on SUV. Sensing danger the driver stopped the vehicle for few minutes and after separating Vijay he fled from the scene. Vijay was rushed to a private hospital where his condition was critical.
In Azamgarh district, Mala Devi (28) of Jamudi village under Mubarakpur police station suffered serious injuries when a speeding motorcycle hit hear near her village on Azamgarh-Mau highway on Monday night. She was admitted to a local hospital where she succumbed to injuries during the course of treatment late in night.
One killed in group clash: Lalji Vishwakarma, a native of Devakipur village under Pavara police station in Jaunpur district was beaten to death during a group clash on Tuesday. According to reports, Lalji had a land dispute with neighbour Kallu Vishwakarma. On Tuesday morning Kallu along with his accomplices raided the place of Lalji and attacked him with sticks. Lalji died on the spot while assailants managed to escape. Police were trying to nab the accused persons after sending the body for postmortem.
