INDIA
Dinesh Karthik returned to India's World Cup squad after 12 years, trumping Mahendra Singh Dhoni's heir apparent Rishabh Pant in a selection move that will be debated for a long time.
AUSTRALIA
Steve Smith and David Warner were named in Australia's squad for the World Cup but there was no place for strike bowler Josh Hazlewood, with selectors saying he needs to work himself back to full fitness after a back injury.
ENGLAND
Joe Denly and Tom Curran have been included in the England World Cup squad announced by the England Cricket Board (ECB). Denly hails from Kent whereas, Tom Curran is from Surrey.

PAKISTAN
The Pakistan squad is largely made up of young players, with only a handful of veterans -- Sarfraz and Haris Sohail, who played in 2015, as well as Shoaib Malik, who played in 2007 and Mohammad Hafeez, who took part in the 2007 and 2011 tournaments.
SOUTH AFRICA
South Africa have included out of form opening batsman Hashim Amla in their squad for the ICC World Cup in England and Wales. Amla's selection has been the topic of a hot debate since his form in all formats has been called into question in the past year.
AFGHANISTAN
Afghanistan named fast bowler Hamid Hassan, who last played for the side in July 2016, in their 15-man squad for the World Cup. Hassan, 31, has played 32 one-day internationals for the war-torn nation and was also part of Afghanistan's maiden appearance at the 50-over World Cup in Australia and New Zealand four years back.
WEST INDIES
West Indies announced their 15-man squad for the World Cup with Jason Holder set to lead the team for the tournament in England and Wales. Hard-hitting opening batsman Chris Gayle, 39, was called up for what will be his fifth World Cup.
SRI LANKA
Sri Lanka dumped established stars including former captain Dinesh Chandimal to hand batsman Lahiru Thirimanne and leg-spinner Jeffrey Vandersay a place in their World Cup squad. Left-handed batsman Dimuth Karunaratne, who was appointed captain, last played an ODI in March 2015.
NEW ZEALAND
New Zealand opted for experience in a 15-man squad named for this year's cricket World Cup, with rookie Tom Blundell's inclusion as back-up wicketkeeper being perhaps the only real surprise. The Blacks Caps hope to shed their tag as valiant losers and claim the title after exiting in the semi-finals six times and suffering a heavy defeat to Australia in their only appearance in the final four years ago.
BANGLADESH
Bangladesh called up batsman Mosaddek Hossain and uncapped fast bowler Abu Jayed for their World Cup squad, as they wrestle with a series of injuries. Four players have been to three World Cups: skipper Mashrafe Mortaza, Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim.
