‘Rahul’s foreign blood won’t get him PM job’

‘Rahul’s foreign blood won’t get him PM job’
LUCKNOW: BSP vice-president Jai Prakash Singh said at a meeting of party workers here on Monday that Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s “foreign blood” will not allow him to lead the country and added that the whole country was “looking up to Mayawati, waiting for her to become the prime minister of the country”.
Coming less than two months after the public display of bonhomie between UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Mayawati at the swearing-in ceremony of Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy, this assertion could affect the talks for an alliance between Congress and BSP for Madhya Pradesh assembly polls.

Addressing the meeting of BSP workers where Mayawati was absent, Singh said “if Rahul had gone on his father Rajiv Gandhi, there was still some hope for him. However, he has gone on his mother Sonia, who is a foreigner. Therefore, he will never succeed in Indian politics.”
In an attack on dynastic politics, he said: “The king will no longer be born from a queen. The next leader will not come from ‘pet’ (stomach) but from ‘peti’ (ballot box).”
Highlighting the importance of BR Ambedkar in today’s politics, Singh said: “Have you thought about why people are suddenly claiming to believe in Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar? That is because there are no more votes in Gandhi’s topi, but the votes are there in Ambedkar’s coat pockets. All religions are not safe in Ram’s name. They are only safe under the name of Jai Bheem.”
Projecting Mayawati as the “next prime minister of the country”, Singh said the “Dalit ki beti” was born to defeat Narendra Modi, “who would be back to selling tea” after the Lok Sabha elections.
Comparing Mayawati with Lord Ram and Lord Krishna, who fought against the terror of Ravan and Kans, respectively, Singh said: “Similarly, when Modi’s terror is spreading, Mayawati has taken birth.”
“The entire country is looking up to Mayawati, waiting for her to become PM of this country. We are ready to change the takht and taj (the current regime). Before you (BJP) can change the Constitution, we will change your government,” Singh added.
