GURDASPUR: Amid renewed global Covid-19 threat, the 127th Jalsa Salana of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community began at its international headquarters at Qadian in Gurdaspur district on Friday.
Thousands of Ahmadiyya Muslims from across India and abroad have converged at Qadian however owing to visa restrictions, none of the Ahmadiyya Muslims arrived from neighbouring Pakistan to participate in the Jalsa Salana that will conclude on December 25.

The Jalsa Salana had remained suspended for two years owing to the Covid pandemic and a very limited function was celebrated in 2021.
Going by the fresh guidelines, the majority of the participants during the Jalsa Salana were seen wearing face masks and following other guidelines. Face masks were distributed among attendees by the Ahmadiyya Jamat.
