Tata Motors unveiled its first ever sub-compact SUV - the
Tata Nexon - at the
Geneva Motor Show on Wednesday. This comes just a day after it took the covers off the
RACEMO,
its ambitious sports car .
The
Nexon grabbed eyeballs at the Indian Auto Expo 2016 with its impossible-to-ignore design. The car is based on the Indian automaker's new 'impact' design pattern, which will also be seen in their
upcoming sub compact sedan , the
Tigor.
(Image: twitter.com/TataMotors)The Nexon features six-speed manual transmission with a 1.5L Revotorq diesel engine that will produce 110PS of power and a peak torque of 260Nm.
Nexon sports an advanced infotainment system, featuring a dash-top touchscreen designed by Harman Kardon.
Tata Nexon, will mark its entry in the rapidly growing SUV segment later this year. It will take on the likes of the Ford EcoSport, Maruti Suzuki's Vitara Brezza and Mahindra's TUV300.
Tata Motors has not revealed the price of the Nexon yet.
