Long wait for learner's licence at Tardeo RTO

MUMBAI: After the recent fire, the Tardeo RTO has been unable to cater to its regular quota of 350 learner's licences a day.
Officials said the new set-up where learners' licences are being issued is cramped place with just 12 computers for the tests. "In the earlier set-up, 25 candidates could take tests simultaneously," said a senior official. "Due to lack of space, we are issuing less than 200 learners' licences a day." An RTO official said the transport department has proposed digital tablets to enable candidates to take tests.
