After battling for life for nearly a month, actor Faraaz Khan passed away in his sleep in a Bengaluru hospital on Tuesday. He was 50. The news was tweeted by his former co-star Pooja Bhatt. Khan, who is recognised for his roles in 90s hits such as 'Fareb' and 'Mehndi', was in the news as he needed funds for treatment of herpes encephalitis, aspiration pneumonia and sepsis with septic shock.
Khan's brother realtor Fahed Abousher said, "He opened his eyes around 9pm, saw all of us and went back to sleep, never to wake up again." Abousher said his brother responded to treatment initially, but poor immunity saw his condition deteriorate eventually.
He said Khan was buried in the same grave as their father, well-known character-actor Yusuf Khan aka Zebisko.
